Tartu is my hometown. Tartu lies in South-Estonia. I was born there and I have lived there for 14 years.

Tartu is an old town. It is about thousand years old. For this long time Tartu had many names: Dorpat, Tarbatu, Jurjev ect. In Tartu there are many churches and Tartu is rich in parks. There are University Buildings there too. Tartu is called University Town. Some people travel to Tartu to go to university. But many tourists visit Tartu every year to see this town`s nature, buildings, people, forests, rivers, hills. In Tartu is Toomehill. In Autumn there is so beautiful. People walk there and have fun. And every Tartu’s and Estonian citizen knows Big Mother-river. This is biggest river in Tartu.

I like Tartu very much because it is lovely and small and life there is peaceful.
