Eating customs in Estonia

 

Eating customs in Estonia are usually very old, because those days were celebrated many many years ago.

A very big day in our lives is Christmas. At Christmas we usually eat a big dinner with our family. The typical Christmas foods are black pudding with cowberry jam, sauerkraut and mash. For dessert is usually ice cream or cake. A typical Christmas snacks are gingerbreads.

In Shrove Tuesday, we usually eat petites or pea soup. Typical Shrove Tuesday snacks are the Shrove muffins.

In Easter as we all know people eat usually painted boiled eggs.

These days' people in the Midsummer Day grill sausages; typical Midsummer's day drink is beer.
