Summary:

The family in this story lives in a small house in a small town. They are poor. Mrs. March is taking care of her four daughters, because their father is away. Sister names were Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy March. Meg was sixteen years old. Jo was fifteen. Meg was thirteen years old and Amy was twelve. Mrs. March is with the Union Army in Washington. He is not a soldier. He is too old to fight. But he is working in a hospital.

Laurie Laurence lives in a big house with his grandfather. Laurie is the March girls’ neighbour and he was luxurious boy. And he is their best friend. The story ends happily. Meg will get marry with John.

This book was well and quite interesting.
