My
ideas about charity
I think charity is very
important in our unfair world. If I became a millionaire one day, I would
donate to poor people with children. It is natural that those people who have a
lot of money and don’t know how to use it should donate the money to charity.
They should think that maybe with their money someone could live a normal life
and be happier.
I have seen one little
internet-story that talks about poor people and the Third World. After I had
seen it, my attitude changed very much. I was happy that I have a place to
sleep and I don’t suffer from hunger. I really respect those helpful people who
go to Africa and Asia and work there for charity asking no salary.
I think that those
countries. what are more developed
should help the Third World. We even don’t imagine how terrible the drought and
famine there are. I have thought that when I’m older I will go to Africa and
work for charity. But I believe that if charity workers were paid a little,
more people would do it.
So far I have not done
anything very big for charity. I have only given money to beggars and food to cats.
When I once walked by the railroad I almost took one poor little ill kitten to
my home. But my mum wouldn’t let me, because we live in a block of flats. But
when I take a cat or a dog some day in future, I will take it from the dog’s
shelter.
I think that the
drought and famine in Africa is increasing and we must try to stop this. Who
knows, maybe some day we have to deal with the same problem. I am happy that so
many people have given money to supply the people of Indonesia with food and
medical supplies because there was a tsunami two years ago. But even then only
a few famous people gave money to charity although they talk that they could
roll in money.
I support charity and I
hope that all people should think more about these serious problems.
