I have seen a lot of films and I also like a lot of them, but what I especially like is the “ Sleepy Hollow ”. It is a classical tale based on the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The film is mixed up with horror, romance, fantasy and even supernatural.

It starts when an earnest constable, Ichabod Crane, was sent to a small village of Sleepy Hollow by his superiors to solve a row of murders and the villagers believed.

When he got to the village, the villagers were feasting because they wanted to forget the bad things just for one evening. (The headless horseman had already killed three people). The villagers were celebrating at the home of Sleepy Hollow’s most affluent family. The members of the family were Katrina van Tassel, the bewitching daughter, her father Baltus Van Tassel who was the richest man in Sleepy Hollow and her stepmother Lady Van Tassel. Katrina and Ichabod met through a game. He liked her from the moment he saw her and he started fighting over her heart with her husband Brom Van Brunt, who later died because he wanted to kill the headless horseman, but the horseman killed him instead. When Ichabod was sleeping he saw his mother in his dreams. He knew that his father killed her mother to save her from the evil spirits, but her mother was a very good person.

Every day Ichabod became closer and closer to finding out why the horseman behaved like this, and he was looking for a connection between them who were killed. Everything pointed at Katrina’s father. The villagers gathered in the church. Everybody wanted Ichabod to go out of the town because he had caused them a lot of trouble. Katrina’s father went to call her stepmother. He saw the horseman coming towards them and he quickly galloped away and thought that his wife was killed. But soon Katrina’s father was killed and Ichabod started suspecting Katrina. He thought she wanted to get the money her father had inherited to Katrina and to save his own heart. He wanted to go back to New York but on his way he saw a few men carrying one of the bodies to the charnel and he saw that there was a cut on the hand. A few days before he had seen Katrina’s stepmother cheating her husband and he saw that she cut her hand with a knife. Now when Ichabod started to examine the body he found out that the cut was done after death. So he realised that behind it was Katrina’s stepmother who had put a spell on the headless horseman to kill everybody who had thrown Lady Van Tassel out of her home in the past. The horseman had his own reason committing crimes because he wanted to find his real head and he took other people heads until his head was returned to him. Finally, Ichabod was able to give the head back and the horseman went back to hell and took Lady Van Tassel with her.

It was a really exciting film and I suggest watching it to everybody.
