My Beautiful
Estonia
The word “Estonia” associates to me with so much more than just the
country I live in, that it’s difficult to even try to put my feelings into
words and sentences. Estonia is the place where my ancestors and I was born, I
live side by side with my friends and once I will be hopefully buried. Estonian
culture and nature is a legacy our ancestors have shed blood for and now our
generation has to pass this forward to our children with our contribution for
the future generations.
In today’s fast moving world many people have no time to relax and think
about the world around us. Consequently, many people visit different foreign
countries every year to get away from their everyday lives, hoping to see
something new and fascinating. In my opinion, there are very many interesting
places right here in Estonia. I’d suggest anyone to just take some time and go
discovering our homeland. That way they can both relax from everyday life and
also find out more about people, nature, culture, history and other aspects
that make our country unique amongst the other countries of the world.
For some reason, many young people today aren’t very patriotic about
their country, but in case we want our small nation to survive, we need every
Estonian to work for it. Only this way we can save our culture and nationality
for the future generations. We are the ones, who have to think of a conclusion.
Let’s not betray our children!
